One week left to enter – The British Family Law Awards

The closing date to enter The British Family Law Awards is just a week away. The ceremony has already attracted plenty of interest from around the family community and follows in the footsteps of the recently hosted British Wills and Probate Awards, and The British Conveyancing Awards.

The event will be hosted by Today’s Media, the publishers of Today’s Family Lawyer, and is to be held at the Bristol Harbour Hotel on Thursday 25th January 2024. The ambition of the awards is to recognise and celebrate excellence in the family law community across England and Wales and entry deadline is 26th October 2023. Firms can enter up to 3x categories and there is no charge to enter.

“One of the overriding reasons behind launching The British Family Law Awards is the desire to recognise the important role family lawyers play in the lives of so many people, day in day out. “

says David Opie, Managing Director of Today’s Media.

“We read the incredible multi-million pound cases that come out of the high court but that is just the tip of the iceberg with family law. Up and down the country family lawyers work tirelessly day in day out for their clients, facing emotionally charged and challenging situations. This is why we set up the awards; to recognise and celebrate the incredible work of all those involved in family law. “

The awards this year features 15 categories, each with carefully selected criteria designed to really capture the essence of the individual’s or firm’s skills. Each submission is scrutinised by a panel of expert judges drawn from across the legal services spectrum who independently score the entry. The top scoring firms in each category are recognised as winners and highly commended.

Alongside some of the usual awards favourites, including “Family Law Firm of the Year,” “Chambers of the Year,” and “Family Lawyer of the Year” are a range of aspirational awards designed to help firms and chambers promote their success both internally and externally.

In the battle for talent “Best Place to Work” has proved to be popular, as has “Excellence in Client Care” as firms battle it out to win work and establish their credentials in their community. Firms of all sizes are encouraged to enter with categories catering for “Boutique”, “Regional” and “National.”
