Talbots Law has acquired Wright Solicitors in what has been described as a “massive boost to [the] Black Country legal landscape”.
The acquisition by Talbots – which is owned by its now over 400 employees – is the second deal of its kind in the last three months.
Wright Solicitors is one of the Dudley’s longest-established legal specialists dating back to 1919. The firm specialises in corporate, family, property, and trusts and estates law.
Directors Stan Williets, Julia Allely and Pardeep Jassal will be staying on as part of the deal, alongside the other 22 members of staff who will all be moving to Talbots’ recently renovated offices in Wolverhampton Street.
Dave Hodgetts, who joined as CEO of Talbots Law in 2021, commented:

Wright Solicitors is generating over £1m of fees annually and we believe that we can grow this considerably by allowing existing clients to tap into some of the additional legal services we already offer, as well as targeting new clients in Dudley.”
Stan Williets, who has been at Wright Solicitors since 1997, added his support:

All the Wright Solicitors staff based in Dudley will move to Talbot Law’s Wolverhampton Street office, which has recently been modernised as part of a £100,000 investment.
