Stowe Family Law strengthens leadership team with internal promotions

Stowe Family Law (Stowe) has announced a round of internal promotions to leadership positions.

Marjha Golding-Evans has been promoted to Managing Partner in the South West and Wales. Since joining Stowe in November 2023, she has played a key role in increasing the firm’s presence in Cardiff and will continue to build on this work.

Marjha specialises in high net worth divorces and financial settlements, with a focus on complex cases involving farming and business disputes, nuptial agreements and children matters, including international relocation and child abduction.

Rachel Watson has been promoted to the position of Managing Partner for Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Hertfordshire. Rachel joined Stowe from Watson Thomas Solicitors, which was acquired by Stowe in 2023. Rachel’s experience and passion for leading people will be a huge asset to the firm’s continuing growth in the South.

Rachel specialises in complex financial remedy proceedings and TOLATA matters, as well as cases involving assets inherited post-separation.

In London, Emma McMorrow and Elaine Morrison have been promoted to Partners. Emma specialises in financial remedy matters for high net worth clients, particularly the division of business assets, along with expertise in cross jurisdictional matters, family trusts and private children law cases.

Elaine combines her complex divorce and financial remedy cases with a keen interest in surrogacy and assisted reproduction. She is also an experienced litigator and has been involved in various cases in the High Court and Court of Appeal, several of them reported.

Sarah Townsend has been promoted to the role of Partner for the East Midlands. Sarah focuses on matrimonial finances, including complex matters involving pensions, businesses and properties, and children cases, including relocation and parental responsibility. Senior Partner Julian Hawkhead said:

“I am thrilled to see the promotions of these committed and highly experienced family lawyers. At Stowe, we constantly drive for success and to open up opportunities for our lawyers to develop and progress.

These promotions will strengthen Stowe’s leadership team, ensuring that our wider team of 180 plus lawyers can continue to deliver the highest quality service to clients.

Each of our newly promoted lawyers is committed to supporting, mentoring, and growing their teams across the country, and I wish them every success in their new roles.”
