Stowe Family Law, the UK’s largest specialist family law firm, say they are delighted to announce the promotion of Liza Gatrell to managing partner in the Thames Valley region.
Ms Gatrell leaves her role as Team Leader Partner in the Southern Home Counties, covering the Southampton, Portsmouth, and Winchester offices, to take up her new position as Managing Partner, covering 7 offices, including Oxford, Reading and High Wycombe.
Ms Gatrell joined Stowe as a Senior Associate in 2021. She was promoted to Partner in 2022 and has been instrumental in growing the firm’s presence and supporting clients across Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey, and Sussex.
The managing partner is a member of Resolution, and an accredited specialist. She is one of Stowe’s specialist surrogacy and fertility lawyers, helping guide clients through the complex legal processes. The firm have described Gatrell as a ‘well-respected name in the legal profession, known for exceptional client service as well as her leadership skills’.
She is co-host of Stowe’s podcast, Stowe talks, which provides free and accessible legal insight and support to the public. She is also a regular external contributor, her words being found in publications such as The Guardian, The Sun, Luxury Adviser and Female First, as well as legal trade publications.
