Resolution recognises members through 2025 awards

Family justice body Resolution has announced the winners of its 2025 awards programme, hosted at Church House, Westminster on Thursday 18th September. 

The body, which represents more than 6,500 professionals, celebrated its annual awards which recognise innovation, impact and a shared commitment to the Code of Practice. Joanna Gosling, Resolution member, mediator and broadcaster hosted and presented the awards

With 12 categories – including seven new awards – this year’s celebration represented the breadth of contributions members make, and the diversity of the community said Resolution. This year’s winners were selected by an expert judging panel from across the sector, who deliberated on the many high calibre entries submitted.

Amongst the winners were Justin Lees at Three Counties Family Law Group who was the recipient of Resolution’s award for outstanding contribution to the family justice profession, the Resolution Lifetime Achievement Award – in memory of John Cornwell.

The winners of the Resolution Awards 2025 are:

  • Resolution Children Practitioner of the Year (sponsored by Harcourt Chambers – James Netto
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion – Jo O’Sullivan
  • Resolution Finance Professional of the Year – Shaf Hussain
  • Resolution Firm of the Year – Mills & Reeve
  • Resolution Legal Aid Practitioner of the Year – Ravi Kaur Mahey
  • Resolution Legal Executive of the Year – David Cobern
  • Resolution Out of Court Practitioner of the Year – Rebecca Hawkins and Claire Webb
  • Resolution Region of the Year – South Wales
  • Resolution Rising Star (sponsored by Cansford Laboratories) – Zhenja Cann
  • Resolution Solicitor of the Year (sponsored by AlphaBiolabs) – Catherine Sousa
