Resolution Awards crown “Champions of Family Justice”

The Resolution Awards, hosted on 13th September, celebrated the success of its members at a glitzy ceremony at Church House, London.

Led by legal commentator Joshua Rozenberg, and in the first year as a standalone event, 200 family practitioners came together to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the body and recognise the very best talent, innovation and pioneering practice from the wide spectrum of family justice professionals that makes up Resolution’s membership.

Among the winners on the night were Graeme Faser of BBS Law incorporating OGR Stock Denton who won the Member’s Choice Awards which was voted for by Resolution members. Nina Hansen of Freemans took home the Children’s Champion Award, and James Evans of OurFamilyWizard who was recognised in the hotly contested Working in Collaboration Award.

Resolution’s award for outstanding achievement, the John Cornwell Award, was presented to David Emmerson OBE, celebrating his commitment to Resolution’s values, including hard-work, innovation and an unrivalled dedication to Resolution whilst raising the profile of the family justice profession.

Today’s Family Lawyer has launched its own British Family Law Awards to be hosted in Bristol on 25th January 2024. A wholly independent event, the ceremony will recognise the incredible community of family lawyers across England and Wales who work tirelessly to promote and provide access to justice for so many. 15 categories, all with carefully curated criteria, will be scrutinised by the judging panel to establish the shortlist, with the winners announced live on the night.
