The Legal Services Board has confirmed its interim leadership arrangements while its Board recruits a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This follows Matthew Hill’s resignation from the role in January 2024, ahead of his departure at the end of March.
The existing three directors will share leadership responsibilities, while continuing in their current roles. Richard Orpin, Director of Regulation and Policy, has been appointed Interim CEO. He will have overall responsibility for maintaining the effective relationship between the Board and the executive team as the LSB continues its focus on reshaping legal services to better meet society’s needs.
Danielle Viall, General Counsel, has been appointed Interim CEO (Regulatory Operations). She will be the executive lead on key regulatory matters, including the LSB’s review of events leading up to the SRA’s intervention into Axiom Ince.
Holly Perry, Director of Enabling Services, will take on the responsibilities of Accounting Officer and ensure that the LSB continues to deploy its resources responsibly and transparently.
