Kingsley Napley announces 2022 partner promotions

Kingsley Napley is pleased to announce four new partners at the firm as part of its annual promotions round. This brings the total number of partners at the firm to an all-time high of 72, of whom 38 (52%) are female.

Those being made up to partner, with effect from 1st May 2022, are:

  • Jessica Clay in the Regulatory team. Jessica specialises in legal services regulation, advising law firms and partners on SRA compliance and authorisation matters, reporting obligations, changes to business structures, issues of professional misconduct and law firm culture. She previously worked for the Legal Services Board and then the Solicitors Regulation Authority before joining Kingsley Napley in 2019. She is also Deputy Editor of the leading textbook on legal services regulation, Cordery on Legal Services.
  • Lauren Evans in the Family & Divorce team. Lauren specialises in private family law work, including cross-border matrimonial disputes, complex financial arrangements arising from divorce, children issues, pre- and postnuptial agreements. Lauren is also a mediator helping clients to resolve matters away from a court setting. She is an active member of Resolution and the International Association of Young Lawyers. She trained with the firm, joining in 2010.
  • Laura Sylvester in the Medical Negligence & Personal Injury team. Laura is expert in catastrophic brain injury claims, especially those relating to children with cerebral palsy. She also has a special interest in cases relating to delayed diagnosis of various conditions and fatal claims, where she often acts for families in the Coroner’s Court in Pre Inquest Review and Inquest hearings. Laura is a panel member of Action against Medical Accidents and a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. She joined Kingsley Napley in 2011.
  • Kim Vowden in the Immigration team. Kim advises on all areas of business immigration and has extensive experience of advising employers in the finance, media and technology sectors. He is an active member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association, the European Immigration Lawyers’ Network and the Law Society’s Immigration Law Committee. He joined Kingsley Napley in 2015.
