Coodes Family Team finalist for BFL Awards

Coodes Solicitors has been shortlisted for the Family Law Team of the Year category at the first British Family Law Awards 2024.

The Southwest law firm has been recognised for their team-based approach to practice and for delivering exceptional client service. The British Family Law Awards was first launched this year by Today’s Media, who publish Today’s Family Lawyer. The purpose of the awards is to recognise and celebrate the excellence across the family law community.

There are 15 categories designed to showcase the tireless work of lawyers to promote and provide access to justice. In its entry, Coodes recognised that the team has some of the best family lawyers in the South and they deal with a range of complex issues including domestic violence and injunctions, child arrangements cases, cohabitee disputes, pension sharing issues, civil partnership dissolution, and Local Authority Child Care cases.

The team’s recognition as a leading firm in the Legal 500 as well as national family law memberships/affiliations with professional bodies was noted. The firms close work with charities and agencies assisting domestic abuse victims was also emphasised.

The entry also outlined the support for training and recruiting staff at the firm, with recognition of the need to nurture, support, promote and reward talent and give individuals the opportunity to flourish.

Coodes Solicitors Partner and Department Manager Sarah Evans said:

“I’m delighted that we have been shortlisted for this prestigious award. It really highlights the depth of expertise held by the team and I’m very proud of all of them for this well deserved recognition.”

The winners will be announced at the ceremony on 25th January 2024.
