Burnetts Solicitors LLP has become the sponsor for Look Ahead in the North, an annual acevent for brain injury survivors and their families.
The event, Look Ahead in the North, is an event organised by brain injury charity, Headway and held in March at the Calvert Trust, Kielder.
The event gives the attendees the opportunity to take part in a whole host of activities, covering everything from using a zip wire, archery to high ropes as well as enjoying the chance to socialise.
The support given by Burnetts (who have been involved in the event for a number of years) – will help with bringing the weekend together.
Ruth Owens, Director of Services at Headway UK, said:
“LAN is a very special event that brings together brain injury survivors and their families for a weekend of fully accessible outdoor activities, while building confidence and friendships,” she said.
It is the highlight of the year for many Headway members in the North East and Cumbria. The weekend brings together a community of brain injury survivors and their carers, to have fun, try new activities and experiences and to feel positive and excited for the future.
We are so grateful to Burnetts for their vital support.”
Paul Brown, Specialist Brain Injury Solicitor and Partner at Burnetts, who is also chair of Headway Wearside, added:
“I have seen at first hand what an amazing weekend LAN is, having had the privilege to attend every LAN weekend since the event started, and what a difference it makes to the people who attend,” said Paul, who is also elected secretary for both The United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum and the Northern Acquired Brain Injury Forum.
We are very proud to be able to continue to support this event and ensure that as many people as possible can take part.”
