Bivonas Law Welcomes Jay Patel to Lead New Family Practice

Bivonas Law has announced the appointment of Jay Patel as the Head of its newly launched family practice – bringing over 20 years extensive experience in complex and high-value international family disputes to the firm.

Jay joins Bivonas Law from Lawrence Stephens, where he established a renowned family law practice for high-net-worth individuals. His prior roles include being a Partner at both Hunters Law LLP and Shoosmiths LLP. Jay is recognised for his “empathetic approach” and his “impressive track record” in handling intricate domestic and international cases involving significant wealth.  Commenting on the new appointment, Antony Brown, Senior Partner and Co-founder of Bivonas Law, said:

“We warmly welcome Jay Patel to our team. His extensive experience with high-net-worth individuals across jurisdictions complements criminal and commercial dispute practice. After almost three decades as a dispute boutique firm, we recognise the impact to the core and wider family that litigation and disputes brings. Managing and finding resolution in high stakes situations often extends across criminal, commercial and family law practice areas, so the timing is perfect”

I feel privileged to head the family practice. This new department reflects the firm’s commitment to addressing the intricate personal and legal challenges faced by our clients. I look forward to bringing my experience to Bivonas Law and helping clients navigate complex family disputes, especially during this time of intensified scrutiny, insecurity and the complex reputational risks that faces our clients”
