The annual Resolution Awards were hosted last week, crowning the latest cohort of winners and celebrating the individuals, teams and organisations making an outstanding contribution to family justice.
Hosted at London’s Church House on Thursday 24th September, the event saw more than 250 family professionals come together to recognise the “positive difference Resolution members make to separating couples, their families and fellow professionals” and “celebrate the values at the heart of Resolution’s Code of Practice.”
Commenting on the 2026 event, Melanie Bataillard-Samuel, Chair of Resolution, said: “Congratulations to all of our 2026 award winners. Our awards are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the people who make a positive difference to families, children and fellow professionals every day. At a time when the family justice system continues to face significant pressures, it is particularly important that we recognise the dedication of our members.
“The quality and breadth of this year’s nominations was exceptional. Our winners demonstrated not only professional excellence, but the compassion, integrity and commitment to constructive, non-confrontational practice that sits at the heart of Resolution’s Code of Practice.”
Amongst the winners was former Resolution National Chair and longstanding advocate for cohabitation reform Jane Craig. Craig was the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, a category recognising outstanding contribution to the family justice profession and created in in memory of Resolution founder John Cornwell. The Lifetime Achievement Awards was one of 16 categories at the 2026 event making it the largest celebration to date.
