Simon Lovitt has joined the firm, which specialises in high net worth, international, and child abduction cases, having recently qualified as a family law solicitor.
Completing his training at a Legal 500 Tier One family department at a law firm based in Leeds and Bristol, Simon brings his experience in dealing with all aspects of relationship breakdown to his new role.
Within the team, Simon will be advising on complex financial matters and child arrangements, as well as issues arising from the separation of cohabitees and cases concerning domestic abuse.
Commenting on his new role, Simon said: “Joining Maguire Family Law is an exciting opportunity to learn from a highly regarded, knowledgeable team and build on my experience in a supportive environment.
“I strive to support clients through what can be an incredibly challenging time, by identifying the most suitable route forward and offering pragmatic, sensitive advice.”
Helen Royle, who joined the firm in 2022, has also been promoted to associate “as a result of her ongoing commitment to successfully securing the best possible outcomes for clients”, according to the firm.
James Maguire, managing director, at Maguire Family Law, said: “As demand for our services continues to increase, we’ve bolstered our team with another new appointment. Simon is a fantastic addition, having already built up experience in our specialist areas. We’re always on the lookout for the brightest legal talent, as well as investing in the growth of our existing team as we continue to enhance our offering.”
