Fladgate strengthens International Arbitration practice with new partner hire

Fladgate LLP, listed as a top 100 UK law firm, has strengthened its International Arbitration practice with the appointment of Thomas Karalis as a Partner.

Thomas, who joins from Ashurst, is a highly regarded dispute resolution lawyer with more than 15 years’ experience conducting arbitrations under leading institutional rules in all major seats, under both civil and common laws.  He regularly advises clients on complex and high value commercial disputes across jurisdictions with a particular focus on the energy, natural resources and automotive sectors.

Fladgate say their new addition has has experience running large, high value and technically complex disputes, in addition to extensive experience on injunctive relief measures through both the Courts and Emergency Arbitrator proceedings.  Thomas has a strong track record advising a range of global clients on disputes arising out of supply contracts, joint ventures and shareholder agreements, and post-M&A transactions.

Thomas joins existing partners John Evans, Garbhan Shanks, Joel Seager and Nadia Osborne in the arbitration team and brings the total number of partners at Fladgate to 98, following the appointment of Jo Kelly as a Partner in its Construction and Engineering team last month.
