Virtual law firm Jurit LLP has appointed Christian Abletshauser to lead its London-based family law practice.
Abletshauser (pictured above) has more than 20 years of experience in the field, working on significant cases including Robertson v Robertson [2016] EWHC 613 (Fam) and Re T.

London-based law firm TV Edwards has appointed three new heads of department, as demand for expertise in complex family and private client work continues to grow.
Partner at the firm, Sarah Inchley, has been promoted to head of family law after working at the company for the last three years. Meanwhile Caroline Andrews has joined as head of family finance and Cheryl Thompson is taking the position of head of private client.

Suzanne Todd has been appointed global president of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL), fulfilling the role alongside her legal practise.
A partner in Withers’ London family law team, Todd has been an active member of the IAFL since joining in 2011 and has taken on several roles during her time with the organisation including acting as secretary for its executive committee in 2020.
She will serve as president for 12 months before handing over to her successor at the close of the annual meeting in Mumbai in September 2027.
Todd said: “I’m absolutely honoured to take on the presidency and help steer IAFL towards greater success and a bigger impact around the world.
“It’s exciting to become president as the Academy marks its 40th year of operations, showing its longevity as we plan for its future trajectory. We are looking to expand the reach of the Academy across Africa and build on its excellent programme of training and events.”
Specialist law firm International Family Law Group (IFLG) has announced three new appointments to its team during a period growth for its leading domestic and international practice.
Paige Franks joins as a solicitor in the finance, children and modern families teams, Jessica Rinaldin joins as a paralegal supporting the firm’s caseload with legal research, court documentation and hearing preparation and Emma Holloway has been appointed as a legal and secretarial assistant.
