Flint Bishop has relocated to a new Sheffield base as part of a wider programme of investment across its office network after record-breaking growth, with the firm surpassing a £43 million in revenue for year ending 30 April 2026.
The move to offices at 1 Holly Street in Sheffield mark a “major milestone” in the firm’s efforts to grow across the North of England, chief executive Qamer Ghafoor (pictured above) said. Further enhancements are planned for the firm’s Birmingham, Leeds and York locations, alongside additional expansion opportunities under consideration.
The acquisition of Lupton Fawcett alongside organic growth has seen the firm effectively double in size in two years. It now employs over 460 staff. “Establishing our permanent city-centre home at 1 Holly Street is a significant milestone development for Flint Bishop”, said Ghafoor.

We are investing heavily in our people, technology and local footprint to bring a formidable, full-service legal offering straight to Sheffield’s corporate sector.”

Consultant-style law firm Nexa has celebrated the appointment of its 200th consultant lawyer to the platform. The firm, which was recognised in The Lawyer Top 200 this year, said the landmark is reflective of “the continued expansion of the business and the trust placed in it by experienced lawyers and their clients”.
CEO and founder Eliot Hibbert (pictured right) was keen to stress the focus remained on the “long-term success of each individual lawyer who joins its platform, rather than the total number of consultants recruited.”
“We don’t measure success by how many lawyers join Nexa”, explained Hibbert. “We measure it by how successful each lawyer becomes once they’re here. That means investing in the platform, the people, the technology, the support and the community that enable experienced lawyers to build thriving practices on their own terms.”
Haighs Solicitors has joined Farnworth Rose to spearhead the firm’s growth in West Yorkshire. The move brings two offices and over 40 team members, including a central support team, to Farnworth Rose in the region.
As part of the merger, Farnworth Rose will provide central business operations in the form of marketing, sales and administrative support, as well as additional legal expertise.
Nick Haigh, principal solicitor at Haighs, said of the acquisition: “More support, experience, technology and resources are immediately available to us here at Haighs. We’re already seeing our new teammates supporting with client work where we either simply needed more of the same skills or in areas we previously couldn’t support with.”
Farnworth Rose, which is headquartered on the border of Nelson and Burnley, was established in 2007 and expanded into Manchester last year with the acquisition of Pinnington Law.
