Family Online Mediation and Arbitration Service (FOMAS) wins Innovation Award

Integrated Disputed Resolution (IDR) is pleased to have won the ‘Innovation of the Year’ award for their subsidiary company; Family Online Mediation and Arbitration Service (FOMAS) at the prestigious Lexis Nexis Family Law Awards 2020 on the 25 November.

IDR’s subsidiary, FOMAS, was set up in 2019 and makes alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in family law available to everyone, regardless of the issues surrounding their dispute and their personal circumstances. This is achieved by having a nationwide network of expert lawyers, mediators, private ‘judges’ and arbitrators, all with a wide range of specialist skills and experience.

ADR allows the client to choose the timescale, the method and even the ‘judge’, giving them control over the whole process, in some cases resolution has been finalised within 6 to 8 weeks which makes the process less stressful and much more cost effective.

Fraser Wright, founder of FOMAS commented: “We are delighted to have won the award for best innovation, especially as we were up against such outstanding competition. Winning the award is not just a testament to the hard work put in by everyone to create FOMAS but also shows that ADR in Family Law is gaining in popularity.”

IDR and FOMAS were also pleased to sponsor the awards this year and send Congratulations to all those who won an award or were shortlisted. For details on the winners, see here.
