Family Law Awards 2019

Tonight, 27th November 2019, saw the Family Law Awards take place at the prestigious Ballroom South Bank in central London.

It was a night for hundreds of family law professionals to network and celebrate the ‘important work of family lawyers and celebrate their many successes and outstanding achievements.’

This year’s winners were chosen by a judging panel made up of the heads of Resolution, Association of Lawyers for Children, the Family Law Bar Association alongside Family Law editors.

Family Law Dispute Resolution Team of the Year – Reunite International Child Abduction Centre

Family Law Young Barrister of the Year – Julia Queen of Coram Chambers

Family Law Young Solicitor of the Year – Kara Swift of Family Law in Partnership

International Family Lawyer of the Year – Eleri Jones of 1GC Family Law

Speaking to Today’s Family Lawyer at the event, Andy Barton from Stephens Scown, winner of the Family Law Firm of the Year (South) told us:

“We are absolutely ecstatic to win the award for Family Law Firm of the Year – South. It’s an amazing recognition for the team. Brilliant!”

Katie Phillips from Brethertons said;

Having previously worked as a wedding photographer for 14 years, a change in family circumstances gave me a taste for family law, particularly in divorce, child custody and especially parental alienation.

I am now doing an LLM in Legal Practise with the aim to work within the legal industry, specialising in family law.
