Law firm, Collyer Bristow, say they are delighted to announce that Charmaine Hast, a leading Family lawyer and former Head of Family law at Wedlake Bell, has joined the Firm as a Consultant.
The firm say that Ms Hast is ‘a well-known and highly regarded name in Family Law’. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and, as one of only a small number of Family Solicitor finance Arbitrators (CIArb), is able to hand down binding judgments in family law financial matters.
The team says that ‘aligning with the focus of the Collyer Bristow Family team, Charmaine has particular experience and expertise in advising on complex, high-value and high-profile family matters, often with a cross-border element. She has represented a significant number of public figures including pop stars, actors and actresses, members of parliament, well known sportspeople, TV personalities, and entrepreneurs’.
Ms Hast established the Family department at Wedlake Bell in 2011 and previously established and headed the Family team of South-East firm, TWM Solicitors. She is a member of Resolution (formerly Solicitors Family Law Association) where she was one of the first accredited specialists in high-net-worth financial matters and child abductions.
Commenting on the hire, Toby Yerburgh, Head of Family law at Collyer Bristow said: “We are delighted to welcome Charmaine to the firm. Her High-Net-Worth focus aligns perfectly with that of our Family team, and with her reputation and wealth of experience, a Consultant of Charmaine’s calibre adds significant weight to Collyer Bristow’s already enviable Private Wealth offering. We are excited to have Charmaine join the team”.
On joining Collyer Bristow, Charmaine Hast says: “Collyer Bristow has a long-standing exceptional reputation in the legal market, particularly for its work with High-Net-Worth clients. It was the natural choice when considering my next move. I look forward to working with the outstanding Family team at CB and contributing to the firm’s ongoing success”.
The Collyer Bristow Family team advises on a full range of ‘complex’ national and international financial claims and matters involving children. This includes international divorce, child arrangement orders, cohabitation agreements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and financial settlements.
The team sits within Collyer Bristow’s renowned Private Wealth department, assisting wealthy UK & international individuals and families inbuilding businesses, preparing for succession, managing homes, dealing with investments, resolving family issues, protecting their privacy, and fulfilling their philanthropic aims.
