The Intermediary Cooperative (TIC) has announced the appointment of Rachel Cohen as a new director to its leadership team.
Cohen was one of the founders of TIC and served as a director for the first 18 months before stepping down to focus more on her case work. She re-joins the leadership team alongside Chair Paula Backen, directors Lou Evans and Vicky Heron and managing director Clare Thomas
Commenting on her return Cohen said:
“I’m delighted to have been asked to become a director again and play a role in the next chapter of the TIC story.”
“TIC has come a long way in the last four years to become an innovative, not-for-profit social enterprise offering high quality HMCTS Appointed Intermediary services across England and Wales. I am proud to have been involved with TIC from the outset, building a cooperative that is based on core social values and passionate about ensuring fair access to justice while giving back to the communities in which we serve.
“I’m excited to now return as a director, playing my part as we enter our next growth phase, building on what has been achieved since 2021.”
Chair of TIC Paula Backen added:
“I am thrilled that Rachel has agreed to become a director for a second time. Rachel was instrumental in the creation of TIC and I know that her energy, ideas and enthusiasm will be invaluable as we continue to grow the cooperative.”
