Stowe moves north to serve Scottish clients with strategic partnership

Stowe Family Law has partnered with Scottish firm Kee Solicitors in an effort to ‘become the first choice for family law’ and extend its service offering to more prospective clients.

The partnership adds the ability to deal with Scottish matters to the private-equity backed law firm which has more than 90 offices across England and Wales. With 400 staff, the firm is amongst the Top 100 law firms in the UK with a turnover of c. £50m in the financial year to the end of March 2025.

Rachel Roberts, UK Managing Director at Stowe Family Law, said:

“This partnership is an important milestone for Stowe as we continue to broaden the support we can offer families across the UK. Kee Solicitors is a well-respected firm that shares our belief that family law should combine empathy, expertise and innovation to achieve the best outcomes for clients.

With Investcorp’s support, we’ve been able to accelerate our growth and technology strategy, ensuring we can deliver an even more seamless and supportive experience for clients. Together with Kee Solicitors, we’ll build on that foundation to strengthen the way families in Scotland access expert, compassionate legal help, combining innovation with care to make a difference to people’s lives.”

Jonathan Kee, Managing Partner at Kee Solicitors, added:

“We’re delighted to partner with Stowe, a firm that shares our values and forward-thinking approach. From the outset, it has been clear that we share a vision of what great family law looks like: compassionate, accessible, and supported by smart technology.

This collaboration will allow us to strengthen the service we provide to clients in Scotland while continuing to grow in a way that reflects who we are: locally rooted, people-focused and committed to delivering the very best in family law.”

Stowe was first acquired by Livingbridge before being sold to Investcorp in 2024. Its ambitions are to double the numbers of clients it serves annually, from 5,000 currently, to 10,000 by 2029.
